Frequently asked questions

Who can join Black Girls in Tennis?

BGIT is open to all women who love tennis or are curious about the sport. Whether you're a complete beginner or have been playing for years, there is a place for you here. All skill levels and backgrounds are welcome.

Do I need to know how to play tennis to join?

Not at all! Many of our members picked up a racket for the very first time at a BGIT session. Our sessions are designed to be welcoming, fun, and accessible no matter where you are in your tennis journey.

Where are your sessions held?

Each city has its own dedicated host and court locations. Check your city's page for upcoming session details.

What should I wear?

We host themed sessions, so the dress code changes throughout the season — make sure to check the event details when purchasing your ticket so you can come ready to serve looks and tennis. Comfortable athletic wear and tennis or court shoes are always a good base!

Can I transfer or get a refund on my ticket?

All tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. However, if you're unable to make it, we encourage you to join your city's group chat, there are often members looking for tickets to sold out events.
